Twenty-Second Annual Awards Dinner

22nd Annual Awards Dinner

The 22nd Annual Awards Dinner was held at Cherokee Town Club on October 17, 2013.  As a result of extensive member feedback, the banquet was moved back to Cherokee for the first time in four years.  We had over 200 members, honorees, department representatives, and guests in attendance.  Our board member Stephen Boyd gave the invocation and Chairman Bill Lellyett followed with The State of the Club.

The awards were presented by Stephen Boyd and another member of our board, Margaret Stickney.

Awards were given to four individuals and four groups, bringing the total to twenty-three well-deserved honorees, which included three K-9s.  As always, the evening was moving and truly inspiring.  Each situation was different, but all displayed the common thread of heroism.

Dispersed among the crowd were many senior officials from each of the major police and fire departments we service. We thank them for their attendance and support.

Next year’s dinner be held at Cherokee Town Club on October 16, 2014.  We look forward to seeing everyone there for another enjoyable evening.
